Welcome to Spine and Performance! Who we are?
We’re Maria (45) and Claudia (43), two super busy moms with three kids each, a love for yoga, and a ton of stuff to juggle every day! We have been neighbors for more than 15 years. Maria’s a cool PE teacher, and Claudia rocks it at a car company. Even with jobs and family life, we make time for yoga because it seriously helps us keep our sanity and stay strong.
Maria is not only a physical education teacher but also a mom who believes that fitness should be fun and accessible. She loves introducing new sports and activities to her students, showing them how to stay active and healthy. When she’s not teaching, you might find her planning her next outdoor adventure or experimenting with healthy recipes. She believes in flexibility.
It is a big deal for me when it comes to staying fit. I always make sure to start and end my workouts with a good warm-up and cool-down to avoid getting hurt. I mix things up with both dynamic and static stretching. And lately, I’ve been getting into yoga which is great for building muscle strength and flexibility.
Claudia works in a corporate setting at a car company, Claudia knows all about the pressures of a demanding career. Her background in business and her knack for staying organized help her manage both her professional and personal life seamlessly. Claudia turns to yoga not just for physical benefits but also as a way to clear her mind and improve her focus. To say healthy. Whether it’s a quick session before work or a full class on the weekend, she makes sure yoga is a non-negotiable part of her routine.
Working out and running can be just as harmful as beneficial if you’re not careful. That’s why my goal is to just stay healthy and fit without overdoing it. I try to do a little bit of stretching and stay positive. At the end of the day, it’s all about enjoying life.
How We Started
It all kicked off about ten years ago when we stumbled into a yoga class and thought, “Why not?” We felt our bodies getting older. The beginning of the 20s and at the end of it is not the same at all. Our bodies were telling us “Don’t remember me”. Turns out, it was kind of awesome. We got hooked, feeling better with every stretch and pose. Fast forward to now, and we’re all about sharing what we’ve learned about keeping our backs happy and our bodies feeling good, especially with stuff like chiropractic exercises and cool tricks with resistance bands.
Why Spine and Performance Rocks
We’re not your typical yoga experts, but we’ve spent the last decade diving into everything yoga, learning from real pros. Here’s what we’re all about:
- Yoga moves that are safe for your spine
- Quick recovery exercises for busy people
- How not to hurt your back
- Targeting that tricky lower back pain
- Using resistance bands to make your back stronger
